Grease is a semisolid lubricant. Greases are applied to mechanisms that can only be lubricated infrequently and where a lubricating oil would not stay in position. They also act as sealants to prevent ingress of water and incompressible materials. Grease-lubricated bearings have greater frictional characteristics due to their high viscosity.
Flywheel Engine grease AP-3 are premium quality lithium base greases having a high drop point and good thermal and structural stability. these greases have high degree of resistance to oxidation and provide protection against rusting and corrosion.
It is a Lithium Complex high performance Grease conforming the requirements of ASTM D4950 standard classification.
It can sustain high temperature up to 160∘C whereas conventional lithium base grease can sustain 120∘ max.
